MIAMI-Now the North Miami Beach, FL-based REIT owns 180 properties totaling about 18.4 million sf in 12 states. Shareholders from both companies officially approved the union yesterday. The company will be called Equity One.
POMPANO BEACH, FL-William V. Kane bought the 25,249-sf Pompano Medical & Professional Center from Pompano Medical Professional Center Ltd. for $86.14 per sf. The building, at 50 N.E. 26th Ave., is 100% occupied.
MIAMI-Cruise Logistics has signed a 59,700-sf lease, Perry Manufacturing leased an additional 23,676 sf, MDA LLC renewed its 7,000-sf lease, and Center Bros. renewed its lease for 3,500 sf in industrial deals valued at more than $2.3 million combined.
MIAMI-The unsecured revolving credit facility is in anticipation of its merger with IRT Property Co., planned to close Feb. 12. Part of the facility will go to IRT shareholders, fund transaction expenses, and repay about $61.6 million in secured mortgage debt and $8 million in unsecured borrowings.
SOUTH BEACH, FL-Suffolk Construction has broken ground on the 60,000-sf project on Collins Avenue, set in the successful retail district between 5th and 6th streets. The new complex is slated to open in January.
MIAMI-The Massachusetts-based developer will use the funding--one of USA Capital's largest funding commitments--to develop The Surf Club II, a 196-unit condominium project planned for the Atlantic Coast in Palm Beach, FL.
MIAMI-The $80 million, 377-residence tower is the first South Florida rental community created by condominium developer Turnberry Associates. Unit sizes range from 938 sf to 2,305 sf, and monthly rents range from $1,250 to $5,500.
MIAMI-The loan will be used to develop Downtown Dadeland, a $140 million mixed-use retail/residential village to be located here. The project, for which preconstruction began in November, will include 416 condominiums and 115,000 sf of retail space.
MIAMI-On Feb. 12, the company plans to kick off the $5 million-plus project, which will include a retail building, four restaurants and the extension of Main Street east of Ludlam Road (Northwest 67th Ave.).
MIAMI-Stephen E. Gaunt was promoted to senior vice president of the company's office here. Gaunt, who has worked for Cresa Partners since 1992, has 28 years of experience with corporate representation, site selection and investment property services.
