MIAMI-Orlando South Florida Auto Auction, which paid $9 million for the land, plans to develop a wholesale automobile auction site. The development would include constructing buildings, probably totaling about 100,000 sf, according to a broker involved in the sale.
MIAMI-Cushman & Wakefield of Florida Inc. has hired Pamela Ibanez Smith, previously with Abood Wood-Fay, who will join Tim Prunka, leasing director for the nearly 1.2-million-sf, class A building. In April, Cushman & Wakefield won the management and leasing duties for the tower.
MIAMI-The planned 19-story, mixed-use tower will include 199 condominium units, 12,900 sf of office space and 8,856 sf of retail space. Unit prices range from $170,000 to the $300,000s.
MIAMI-The seven South Florida properties, in locally based Adler Group's FlexxSpace portfolio, were sold to five buyers. The properties, primarily industrial, are Airland Industrial Center, Flag Industrial Center, Quail Roost Warehouses, Ideal Commercial Center, New Town Commerce Center, Palmetto Lakes Industrial Park and Vanderbilt Square.
HIALEAH GARDENS, FL-Catholic Health Services retained the Coral Gables, FL-based firm to design St. Catherine's-West Rehabilitation Hospital here. The facility's groundbreaking is slated for fall 2005.
MIAMI-Lori Adams also is agency manager for the firm's South Florida Agency operations, based here. Responsible for new business development, she will work with about 30 law firms with which the company does business.
MIAMI-The project's developer, the Midtown Group, has joined forces with Majestic Properties, forming Midtown Group Realty LLC. Plans call for the "city within a city" to feature 3,000 residential units and one million sf of retail space.
MIAMI BEACH, FL-A local private investor bought the 11-story building from a New York-based private investor. The building has 82,154 rentable sf and a 7,951-sf tract of land next to the building was included in the sale.
OPA LOCKA, FL-At a time when retail properties have been strong investments, RMS Properties III LLC paid Cross Realty Inc. close to $206.35 per sf for the 12,600-sf building here. The property was built in 1997.
COCONUT GROVE, FL-Robert Cambó, president of the commercial developer Alliance Cos., and Miguel A. Reynaldos have teamed up on the new venture. The company will focus on industrial, commercial, office and multifamily projects.
