BOSTON-Quinn & Morris signs a five-year extension on its 10,946-sf lease at 141 Tremont St. The first class, 13-story, 60,000-sf office building, which is owned by the Flatley Co., is located in the city's financial district.
BOSTON-ManageSoft Corp. signed a lease for the entire 28th floor of 53 State St. The software company specializing in software-management solutions for global organizations is leasing 25,835 sf in the building, which is the former home of the Boston Stock Exchange.
BEDFORD, MA-Insulet Corp. signs a five-year, 53,500-sf lease, for a facility at 9 Oak Park. The company, which develops medical devices, is initially subleasing from Corning and then leasing directly from William J. Callahan, the building's owner.
BILLERICA, MA-General Electric wants town approval to expand the facility it is moving into on Technology Park Drive by nearly 86,000 sf. The company is leasing the property, which is currently a vacant, 100,000-sf building, from Irving, TX-based Archon Group.
BURLINGTON, MA-The University of Phoenix establishes a regional campus in the area with its 30,000-sf lease in Landmark One at 1 Van de Graaff Dr. The space will include administrative offices and classrooms on the first and third floors of the 158,000-sf building.
WATERTOWN, MA-Two tenants sign on to lease nearly 120,000 sf of space at 311 Arsenal. Along with another potential 100,000-sf lease, the 366,000-sf building, which is located in the Arsenal on the Charles and was nearly vacant three years ago, will be 90% occupied.
BOSTON-The Boston Redevelopment Authority gave the green light to the SoCo Lofts project on Northampton Street in the South End. The complex will replace a vacant garage and involves 25 new units of housing, three of which will be set aside as affordable live/work space for artists.
CAMBRIDGE, MA-Organon International, the human pharmaceutical business unit of the Netherlands-based Akzo Nobel NV, leases 26,610 sf in Cambridge Science Center at 245 First St. The 130,000-sf building was recently converted from office space to laboratory space.
MEDFORD, MA-In one of the largest suburban transactions of the year, First Marblehead Corp. of Boston leases 136,000 sf of first class office space at One Cabot Rd. The deal brings the four-story, 330,000-sf building's occupancy rate up to 95%.
ANDOVER, MA-Yankee Alliance leases 9,748 sf of office space at 138 River Rd. in the Shattuick Office Center. The three-story, 62,806-sf building is in the Route 495 corridor, near the intersection of Routes 93 and 495. The company will use the space as its new headquarters location.
