MEDFORD, MA-National Development prepares to break ground on what will be a one-million-sf mixed–use development that will include housing, retail and commercial space as well as a 190-room hotel. The Newton-based company acquired the 16-acre parcel around Wellington Circle less than two years ago.

BOSTON-Action for Boston Community Development completes its development of a 45-unit senior housing complex at 198 Geneva Ave. The city awarded ownership of the parcel to the development company in 1996. The $6.6 million project is on the site of the former Boston Ice Co.

ANDOVER, MA-First Call Mortgage Company Inc. relocates its corporate headquarters to 29,191 sf at 100 Brickstone Square. The company, a provider of mortgage loan services, is consolidating its office locations in North Andover and Reading.

BOSTON-ScanSoft Inc. is leasing 35,862 sf of first class office space at 695 Atlantic Ave. The company, a supplier of speech and imaging solutions used to automate manual processes, is leasing space on floors two, three and 10 of the building for its headquarters office.

BOSTON-Trinity Terrace Cooperative opens at 12 Trinity Terrace in the Four Corners neighborhood of Dorchester. The complex, which was built on 22 vacant parcels of city-owned land on Washington, Norwell and Rupert streets, involves 62 units of affordable rental housing.

BILLERICA, MA-Azonix renews its lease for 21,798 sf in Building 6 at 900 Middlesex Turnpike. The company, which has been in the building for the past 12 years, uses the space as its corporate headquarters as well as for engineering and assembly purposes.
