LINCOLN COUNTY, NC-Fitch, an international rating and research agency, has assigned an AA rating to Lincoln County's $7.5 million general obligation bonds.

CHARLOTTE-The bank has created a $25-million kitty to help restore small historic properties for commercial use. Eligible projects include structures that will be rehabilitated for community development purposes.
WINSTON-SALEM, NC-The Raleigh, NC-based real estate services firm, has opened an office in Winston Salem and plans to open other offices shortly in Greensboro and Columbia, SC. The company sees Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Charlotte as a single, growing metropolitan area.
