AEW Capital Management of Boston acquired the portfolio's 28 Texas-based properties, while funds managed by The Blackstone Group of New York City purchased the portfolio's 68 properties located in 10 high-growth markets across the United States.
The new three-year lease transaction at the 340,000-square-foot property fills Boston-based Plymouth Industrial's largest vacancy in its portfolio and raises the property's leased rate to 76%.
Freehold will lease the properties to Curaleaf pursuant to a long-term, triple-net lease. The company also has the right of first offer to purchase additional properties from Curaleaf as its preferred real estate partner.
The financing was provided by Bank OZK for the 289,000-square-foot, Class A office and lab development in the Boynton Yards area of Somerville. JLL arranged the first mortgage financing deal for the joint venture.
Sziklas, who will take on the post on Sept.3 and will be based at LaSalle’s corporate headquarters in Chicago, will lead the team of portfolio managers for LaSalle’s U.S. Custom Accounts clients and will be responsible for actively managing portfolios of office, retail, multifamily and industrial investments located throughout the U.S.
The Class A project, a 220-unit multifamily development, is being built on 2.54 acres at 40 Bennett Road directly across from MacKay Park. Due for completion in 2020, the transit-oriented community offers access to Interstate 95, Route 4 and the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
