MIAMI-Fort Lauderdale ranked No. 5, West Palm Beach ranked No. 8, and Miami ranked No. 15 on Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co.'s National Retail Index, which was just released.

HALLANDALE BEACH-The Coral Gables, FL-based firm is developing the 43-story, 390-unit, luxury project in Hallandale Beach, FL on one of the last oceanfront sites left in the area.

MIAMI-The developers of Metropolis at Dadeland, an under-construction project consisting of two 25-story towers, and Downtown Dadeland, a $140 million mixed-use complex, presented plans to the top 250 real estate professionals here.

MIAMI-The construction loan, through Bank of America, is to fund the downtown Miami waterfront condominium project One Miami. The development will feature 896 residences in two towers, 44 and 45 stories. The units are more than 90% sold.

MIAMI-The submarkets, named in a newly released Codina Group Inc. report, include Southwest Broward; Delray Beach, Jupiter and Royal Palm Beach/Wellington in Palm Beach County; and Airport West in Miami-Dade County.

MIAMI-The multimillion-dollar, modernist-style Andersen Opera Center will be located across the street from the Miami Performing Arts Center. Construction is planned for this fall, with completion scheduled for the winter of 2004.

MIAMI-The space is being used for Gribetz Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leggett & Platt. The company, which renewed the lease short term, occupies another 65,000 sf in the same park in Sunrise, FL.

MIAMI-The locally based contractor will convert the 34-year-old former Victorian Plaza office building into a 239-unit condominium community. The firm's projects have included the St. Moritz Hotel and 5600 Collins.
